Solved New Launcher not working. Total War and the Total War logo are either registered trade marks or trade marks of The Creative Assembly Limited. Simply go to the game file location select all the files hit delete then delete ALL local content then reinstall Edit: Steam has changed the naming for 'Dele.
Back to playing APE:TI after a long absence trying other games and mods none of which I found as good as this one. Slight problem. I can launch the game through Steam, but not using the Launcher or Mod Manager. Trying that way produces 'Empire Total War has stopped working'. When I launch it via Steam no problem, except of course it is only the Early Game, so if that's all I want to play no problem. But I would like to know what the problem is with Launcher and Mod Manager. I'm now using Windows 10 so could this be an issue? Anyway any help appreciated. Thanks.
Right, the first fix to try with the Total War Three Kingdoms launch bug is to launch it from its “.exe” file. To do this, close the game and leave Steam. Head to your C: folder, and click on.
The author/sharer blames the launcher saying it needs an update so IDK EDIT: To note when I had the particle effects mod file in the data folder even mod manger could not launch my game without it crashing.I've never had this issue until this afternoon. When I hit the play button in Attila Total War and the launcher starts, it crashes. I've also tried a lot of the 'fixes' out there. Also, I have Warhammer 1 too and it was working beautifully until I got Warhammer 2 ( both now won't launch ). Like I said, I can play the game but not through the Steam launcher ( thus no mods ). So the problem is clearly with the game and/or Steam ( whoever handles the launcher ).

Fix the Launcher
- Do right click at name of this game in list and select properties.
- Go to BETA tab and select launcher_release_candidate.
- Then close the window and wait for download to complete, then run the game, select some mods are updated and enable them.
- The mod worked, I'm using New World Versus Old World - UI Overhaul.
- Then exit the game and repeat the first step, now select none in BETA tab and close the window.
- Re-enable the mods again in new launcher.
- It should work after all as it's in my game. (I assume they changed settings each you change launcher, not sure how).
