Transfer PDF Files to iPhone From Computer
As you must be aware, there is no direct way of transferring files from a computer to iPhone or iPad.

Transfer PDF Files to iPhone Using Email
Perhaps the simplest way to transfer PDF files from computer to iPhone is to simply email the PDF file to yourself and access it on your iPhone.
1. Login to your Email Account using a laptop or desktop computer.

2. Now, create a new email and address it to yourself (an email that is linked with your iPhone)
3. Attach the PDF File from your computer as an email attachment and send the email to yourself.
4. Now, tap on the Mail icon on your iPhone
5. You should see a new email in your inbox with a PDF attachment.
6. Open the email and tap on the PDF File to open it on your iPhone.
7. Once the PDF file is open, tap on the screen to reveal a bottom Menu (See image below)
8. Now, tap on the Share icon (up arrow) to open a sharing menu.

Transfer PDF Files to iPhone Using iCloud Drive
This is a very convenient way of making PDF files accessible on your iPhone. The advantage of this method is that all the uploaded files stay on iCloud Drive and do not take any space on your iPhone, until you download them to your device.
Before proceeding with the steps below, make sure that you Enable iCloud Drive on your iPhone or iPad.
1. Visit iCloud.com on your Mac or Windows computer
2. Login to your iCloud Account by entering your Apple ID and password.
3. Once you are logged in, click on the iCloud icon to get access into your iCloud Drive space (See image below)
4. Once you are in iCloud Drive, click on the Cloud shaped upload icon. This will allow you to choose the PDF File located anywhere on your computer.
5. Navigate to the PDF File Location on your computer and upload the file to iCloud Drive by clicking on it.
6. Once the PDF file has been uploaded to iCloud Drive. Come back to your phone and tap on the iCloud Drive app on your iPhone – You should be able to see the PDF file that you had just uploaded to iCloud Drive.
Note: Close your iPhone and open it again, in case you are not able to see the uploaded PDF file on your iPhone.
7. Tap on the PDF file to open it on your iPhone.
8. Next, tap on the up Share icon to open a sharing menu (See image below)
9. From the sharing Menu, tap on Copy to iBooks to download the file to your iPhone (See image below)
10. The PDF file will be downloaded to your iPhone and placed in the Bookshelf section of iBooks

Transfer PDF Files to iPhone Using iTunes
Another way of transferring PDF files from Computer to iPhone is to first transfer the PDF files to iTunes and then sync the files to your iPhone.
1. Connect your iPhone to a computer using the iPhone’s lightning cable.
2. Open iTunes on your computer
3. Once in iTunes, click on the Phone icon that you will see at the top of your screen (See image below)
4. From the side menu, tap on Books. Make sure that you are tapping on Books under Settings and not My Device.
5. Now, from the top Menu, tap on File and choose Add File to Library from the drop down menu (See image below)
Note: The top menu bar may not be visible when you land on iTunes from a Windows computer. If this is the case, press CTRL + B keys on your computers keyboard to reveal the hidden top menu bar.
6. Next, select the PDF file from your computer and double click on it to upload the file to iTunes
7. Now that the PDF file is on iTunes, you can transfer this file to iPhone by using the Sync option. Click on the little box next to Sync Books and also click on the circle next to Selected Books.
8. Next, click on the box next to the uploaded PDF file (under Books) to Sync the PDF file to iPhone (See image above)
9. Finally, tap on the Apply button (located at the bottom of your screen) to start syncing the selected PDF Files to your iPhone
You will be able to see the Synced PDF file on your iPhone by tapping on the iBooks app. The transferred PDF file will be available in the Bookshelf tab of iBooks.
As a Kobo user, you may not only purchase books from Kobo store but also other available sources, such as Barnes & Noble, Sony eBook store, Google Play, etc. . Method 1: Transfer EPUB & PDF to Kobo with Kobo for PC/Mac
This method applies to books purchased from Kobo store. As long as you can use Kobo for PC/Mac, then you can successfully transfer EPUB and PDF to Kobo. In this part, I take Kobo for PC as example. Now let's transfer EPUB files to Kobo aura step by step.
Step 1: Connect Kobo to your computer via USB
When you connect Kobo to computer, your Kobo will ask if you want to connect your eReader to your computer to manage files. Select “Connect”, then Kobo device will appear ”Connected and charged”, and Windows should detect that a new device is connected.
Step 2: Open your Kobo for PC on your computer
After opening your Kobo desktop(Kobo reading software), you will find navigation bar 'EREADER' is available, then click 'LIBRARY', all your existing books will show up, including books currently on your eReader or Kobo for PC.
Step 3: Add books to your Kobo
Click the cover of books you want to transfer, then hit 'ADD TO EREADER' button at the bottom right corner or click the icon with '+' on the cover of your books .
The selected books will be transferred to your Kobo soon. Meanwhile, you will find the icon on the cover of your books has changed.
After books have been transferred, eject your Kobo. Then tap 'Library' in your Kobo eReader 'Home'. You will find books you have added. Just click the cover, and enjoy them on your Kobo.
How about transferring books between 2 Kobo eReaders?
For transferring EPUB/PDF from Kobo eBook store to Kobo, here I want to share another tool Kindle Transfer with you. To be honest, I feel it's easier and more effective than the way mentioned above. With this tool, you can not only easily transfer Kobo books between 2 Kobo eReaders, but also transfer eBooks from Kobo desktop to Kobo. I guess this tool is specially necessary for those who get a new Kobo and need to copy Kobo books from the old one to new one.
After installed the program successfully, now it's time to transfer EPUB/PDF to Kobo. Just connect your Kobo device to computer, select the eBook source on your computer or Kobo e-Ink reader, then choose target Kobo device and click on 'Transfer' button to start the transferring. So easy, right?

Method 2: Send EPUB/PDF to Kobo using ADE
This method applies to books purchased from Sony eBook store, Google Play, Barnes & Noble and other sources. No matter they are DRM free or Adobe DRM protected.
Now follow the steps to transfer PDF files to your Kobo glo.
Step 1: Install Adobe Digital Editions, and authorize the Adobe ID which is associated with your Kobo device.
Step 2: Connect Kobo to your computer. Your device will automatically show up under 'Devices'.
Step 3: Add your EPUB and PDF books to ADE.
You can click 'File'-->'Add to Library' at the upper left corner to add books you want to transfer. Or just drag them to the main window of ADE.
Notice: If your books are ACSM files, just download them with ADE. Then they will be downloaded automatically as EPUB or PDF files. To learn more details, you can go through the article convert acsm to epub.
Step 4: Transfer EPUB and PDF books to Kobo.
Click 'All Items' under 'Bookshelves', all your added books will show up in the main window of ADE. Just right-click books you want to transfer and select 'Copy to Computer/Devices'-->'KoboeReader' to send books to Kobo. Or you can just drag books to 'KoboeReader' under 'Devices' . Then you will see a window showing the transfer process.
When the books have been transferred successfully, eject your Kobo eReader from the computer. Then you will see a 'Processing content' on your Kobo device, just wait it finished. Then the books will appear in your library. You can read books on your Kobo freely.
Tips:
If you can't transfer EPUB and PDF books to your Kobo successfully, maybe it's because the files you want to send are DRM protected. The easiest and best way is to remove DRM.
